November 29, 2005 –
In his first benefit concert and CD release for the
“Make-A-Wish Foundation,” Al Hammerman
presents: All New Songs on Tuesday,
February 7, 2006 at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St.
Louis. Although Hammerman has composed for many years,
his music is now accessible to the public for the
first time. Accompanied by his orchestra, Hammerman
presents a collection of original songs with performances
from well-recognized area artists. Arvell Keithley,
Alan Oxenhandler and Phil Loder perform, in addition
to a special guest appearance by New York ingénue,
Caroline Gallagher. With songs touted as instant classics
of "The Great American Song Book" style,
listeners can now hear Hammerman’s work on RED
97.1 FM TALK and KMOX AM 1120.
Perhaps better known to date as Dr. Albert Hammerman,
Al continues his longtime service to the St. Louis community
as a local radiologist. He also teaches a popular undergraduate
course at Washington University titled "Medical
Imaging of the Human Body."
